Project Life 2012 - Week Thirty Six

It's been so long, that I almost forgot the login for my blog! But I'm back now with the latest week of Project  Life...36 weeks done, and I still love this project!
I did have a little break for a while, and got about 10 weeks behind, but that's the beauty of a project like this, I was able to catch up in no time!

Main Spread, without extra Inserts

Lily nicknamed this layout the week of Lily, and in a second (when I show the inserts) you'll see why!
Main Spread, with extra inserts

It was a pretty big week in our house, as on the Monday Lily had her tonsils and adenoids out - it involved an overnight hospital stay (Lily asked Ian to stay at the hospital with her, and I went home with Benji). She did so well with the surgery, I cried more than she did!

Insert One

6x6 insert ...it was a movie watching kind of week
Pretty much all we did during the days at home was watch movies at home, Benji loves watching Barbie movies just as much as Lily.

Back of Insert One & Insert Two

Lily's school had open night on Wednesday, and even though she was in quite a bit of pain she really wanted to go and show us around her classroom. Her teachers were both really shocked to see her looking so well.

I love Project Life - it gave me somewhere to keep Lily's hospital name tag!

Insert Three - Lily's get well card

Insert Four - Design G; Lily in the hospital

Back of Insert Four & Insert 5
More photos of Lily at the hospital, and the bravery award she got in recovery.

Insert Six
On the back of the bravery award, I want to journal about Lily's surgery, and recovery. Will get onto that soon!

One of my bestest friends, Sarah (she's the one the arrow is pointing to) was in the West Australian, so I had to cut that out and keep it.

I will be back soon, and will start posting all the layouts that I missed out on showing over the last couple of months.

Family x 12 - June 2012

I'm sharing my June family photo, which after many forgotten/wasted opportunities was only taken last night, at home.
I haven't forgotten about May, but I am waiting to get a copy of some of the professional photos from my friends wedding (where the photo was taken), so hopefully I will get them this week, and then I will be able to share our May photo.

I have been playing with instagram on my phone a bit lately, so naturally I had to add this photo, and muck around with the filters to see which one I liked best.
Lily may not be smiling, but at least we are all looking at the camera...that's a rare thing!

Take Twelve: June 2012

Half way through the year, and still totally loving this project!
I actually did take these photos on the 12th, but as I went away overseas on the 14th, I never got the chance to upload them.

As usual (and by now should go without saying), this collage will be going into my Project Life Album.

Project Life 2012 - Week Nineteen

This weeks layout is probably my favourite layout so far this year...big call, I know!!
But, I just love all the extra inserts that I managed to keep and include in the album, and I know that in the years to come, I will treasure all of these things.

Main Spread - without extra inserts

We had a few big events this week - Mother's Day was obviously an important one, but there were a few other little things that I am glad to have been able to record. A special one included Benji going into a big boy bed (okay, so all I really did was take the side rail off his cot, but still it's a huge deal that he's not "in jail" any more!)

Main Spread - with extra inserts (there were lots!)
I had five inserts all up, and I LOVE every.single.one.of.them!

Inside of insert 1 (a Mother's Day card made at school by Lily)
I love little-kid writing, and am glad that I get to keep this as a record from Lily's life right now.

Insert 2
Another thing I LOVE about young school-age children, is the little art works that they bring home. Lily made this flower for me, and included some of the things that she loves about me.

Inside of insert 3
(you can see the front of the card through the plastic slip in the previous photo).

Insert 4 - A clear plastic envelope-thinggy with some received post cards in it.
This envelope didn't have am holes punched in it, but I couldn't find any of the binder pencil cases that I wanted, so I just bought this type and punched my own holes in it.

Insert 5 - Take Twelve (May) 2012
For this month, I did something a little different. May 12 just happened to be the date of my friends Hens Night (I was a bridesmaid) and so, I decided to only have photos from that night included in the collage. This photo collage was never posted on my blog as part of the Take Twelve posts, as it's more of an adults only type collage - there *may* have been a lot of alcohol involved!

The Take Twelve Collage
*Just in case it's un-clear in the photos - that's a blow up doll in the photos - we would never man-handle a real man this way!*

Back of insert 5
Because I never blogged about Take Twelve, I didn't have a blog post to print out, so I simply placed the Hens Night invite in behind the photo collage.

Project Life 2012 - Week Eighteen

I'm back with another catch-up post of my Project Life layouts.

Main Spread, without extra inserts
(It's a little blurry, sorry!)
Not alot of words this week, mostly photos - but I'm ok with that, not every week can have every event documented with both words and photos.

Main Spread, with extra inserts
I had a few different inserts this week, at first I started off with only the one, but then thankfully the postcards I was expecting from my parents (they are on holidays) made it to me, and didn't get lost in the mail (it happened to my sister, last time my parents sent postcards from their holidays).

The glare on the top of the photo at the top of the left-hand page is actually in the photo and not because of the plastics...I'll show you.

Insert 1
In the first full week back at school, Lily got a certificate from the science teacher...so proud of my baby-girl!!

Back of insert 1 & insert 2
In the protector, at the back of Lily's certificate, I folded the April monthly calendar, and stuck it in there.

Lily loved getting postcards when my parents were in Thailand last year, and so I asked if they would mind writing some more out for her. I didn't expect them to post them, in fact I told them not to, instead to just write on them and bring them home in their suitcases...Lily wouldn't know the difference. I think that they make a nice edition to the album!
