Cyber Cropping at SBT50

Last Monday (11th July), saw the opening night of the July CC at Scrapbooking Top 50 Australia. The theme is 'Lights, Camera, Action', so all the challenges are based on the film industry.

So far, I have managed to complete 3/5 challenges, I missed the deadline for the Opening Night Mini Challenge (it was due by Midnight Sunday), but I have an idea for the last challenge, so Im hoping to get into the scrap room, and play soon.

Challenge 1 - The spotlight's on you Baby!
For this challenge, we had to scrap a layout of ourselves, and if we were game to share a secret about ourselves.

I used an awesome Hambly transparency and sewed it onto layout - I'm not the best sewer, but I think it turned out ok.

Challenge 3 - Action!
Sue's challenge was to scrap an action type photo, and to include the word action, either in the title or the journaling.  I chose to scrap a photo I managed to capture of Benji when he rolled over for the first time - it doesn't look like he's moving, but that's just because of when the photo was taken he was on his side about to roll onto his tummy. He went the 'wrong' way, and rolled from back to tummy long before he ever rolled from his tummy to his back (he hated tummy time).

Challenge 4 - I'm ready for my closeup.
This challenge required at least a 5x7 photo, and it had to be a close up of the face (shoulders were ok). I used a photo I took of Benji only a couple of days before hand - I loved it the minute I saw it, and it was perfect for the challenge.
I kept the embellishing really simple (even for me), as I wanted the photo to be the standout.

Purple Pumpkin

I LOVE Purple Pumpkin embellies, so when I saw that Sam is having a competition to pick some new guest designers, I figured that I may as well enter...you gotta be in it, to win it!

This is a recent layout that I did, and even weeks later, it's still one of my favourites.

He's Savvy Layout

I was lucky enough to grab one of the June He's Savvy kits over at Scrapbook Savvy - thanks Sar!!

So far, I have only completed one layout - but there is so much stuff in the kit, that I know that I will get heaps more layouts out of the kit.

Play with Me?
Benji loves to play with the dogs, but ours are outside dogs, and are always pretty sandy - so they aren't allowed inside very often. Clever little Benji has realised that if he goes over to back door, and bangs on it, the dogs will come to the door and they play with him that way.

Some Scrapping

I had a bit of a scrappy night last night, and completed 3 layouts...but I can only share 2 of them right now.

So Happy:
this is for Sara's Word Challenge over at Scrapbook Savvy.
The word for this month, was HAPPY.

I've had this photo of Benji floating around for a while, so I figured that I would use it for this challenge, I didn't have the greatest pregnancy with Benji, and so even though I may not look it in the photo (I was still being stitched back up after my c/s), I was overjoyed to be holding the little man who made me suffer for 9 months!

The gorgeous little orange pin, is something I picked up from the last SBT50 Crafters Market...it's by Ant, from A little bit fANTsy.

Next up, is Sue's sketch challenge over at SBT50, Sue gave us a beautiful PageMaps sketch, with the added criteria of keeping it simple...just up my alley!!

The Sketch:

Crazy Girls:

I love this photo of Lily and I - just being our usual crazy selves!
