Another awesome sketch by
Sketchy Thursdays - I loved the sketch, and you know when you finish a layout, and it's exactly how you imagined it would look like...well, that's what happened here. I absolutely love this layout - one of my favourites for sure!
The Sketch:
I obviously shrunk the sketch down to fit an 8.5x11 layout, but that's the thing this sketch is so versatile, that it still worked in the smaller format.
Wheee!!
Honestly I'm not sure if the spelling in the title is correct, but it's one of those words, that we all say, but because it isn't really a word - so there's no official spelling of it.
Details:
I love, love, LOVE that little boy button - it's from the '50's retro kids playing' set from
Yum Yum Buttons.A few of my other favourite shops made it onto the layout also...the bakers twine is from
Purple Pumpkin, and the birdie pin is
MLBOW.
I also used my Sizzix for the first time in a long time, and cut the title. One layer wasn't high enough, so I cut each letter/symbol three times, and sandwiched them together.
I finally got around to scrapping the layout for my May 365 project photos, I used some scraps from a layout i was working on the other night, and literally finished it within 30 minutes (uheard of, for me). It's not quite finished, I still have to print the journalling strips, but my printed has decided to not play nice, so they will have to be added when I get more ink a new printer (shhh, don't tell the husband!)

Back of the layout, with the calendar attached:
Sorry, for the shocking photo, I have no idea why the back of the layout photographed so dark?
Details:
I purposely never embellish these monthly layouts very much, as the photos are always so busy, and then with the journalling it can start to look too much...if that makes sense.
I did manage to sneak another one of the retro kids buttons, on there, and also a lovely lollipop from
Charms Creations.
