Project Life 2012 - Week Nineteen
This weeks layout is probably my favourite layout so far this year...big call, I know!!
But, I just love all the extra inserts that I managed to keep and include in the album, and I know that in the years to come, I will treasure all of these things.
Main Spread - without extra inserts
We had a few big events this week - Mother's Day was obviously an important one, but there were a few other little things that I am glad to have been able to record. A special one included Benji going into a big boy bed (okay, so all I really did was take the side rail off his cot, but still it's a huge deal that he's not "in jail" any more!)
Main Spread - with extra inserts (there were lots!)
I had five inserts all up, and I LOVE every.single.one.of.them!
Inside of insert 1 (a Mother's Day card made at school by Lily)
I love little-kid writing, and am glad that I get to keep this as a record from Lily's life right now.
Insert 2
Another thing I LOVE about young school-age children, is the little art works that they bring home. Lily made this flower for me, and included some of the things that she loves about me.
Inside of insert 3
(you can see the front of the card through the plastic slip in the previous photo).
Insert 4 - A clear plastic envelope-thinggy with some received post cards in it.
This envelope didn't have am holes punched in it, but I couldn't find any of the binder pencil cases that I wanted, so I just bought this type and punched my own holes in it.
Insert 5 - Take Twelve (May) 2012
For this month, I did something a little different. May 12 just happened to be the date of my friends Hens Night (I was a bridesmaid) and so, I decided to only have photos from that night included in the collage. This photo collage was never posted on my blog as part of the Take Twelve posts, as it's more of an adults only type collage - there *may* have been a lot of alcohol involved!
The Take Twelve Collage
*Just in case it's un-clear in the photos - that's a blow up doll in the photos - we would never man-handle a real man this way!*

Because I never blogged about Take Twelve, I didn't have a blog post to print out, so I simply placed the Hens Night invite in behind the photo collage.

Project Life 2012 - Week Eighteen
I'm back with another catch-up post of my Project Life layouts.
Main Spread, without extra inserts
(It's a little blurry, sorry!)
Not alot of words this week, mostly photos - but I'm ok with that, not every week can have every event documented with both words and photos.
Main Spread, with extra inserts
I had a few different inserts this week, at first I started off with only the one, but then thankfully the postcards I was expecting from my parents (they are on holidays) made it to me, and didn't get lost in the mail (it happened to my sister, last time my parents sent postcards from their holidays).
The glare on the top of the photo at the top of the left-hand page is actually in the photo and not because of the plastics...I'll show you.
Insert 1
In the first full week back at school, Lily got a certificate from the science teacher...so proud of my baby-girl!!
Back of insert 1 & insert 2
In the protector, at the back of Lily's certificate, I folded the April monthly calendar, and stuck it in there.

Lily loved getting postcards when my parents were in Thailand last year, and so I asked if they would mind writing some more out for her. I didn't expect them to post them, in fact I told them not to, instead to just write on them and bring them home in their suitcases...Lily wouldn't know the difference. I think that they make a nice edition to the album!

Project Life 2012 - Weeks Fifteen, Sixteen and Seventeen
These are the weeks, where I first got a little behind with my album. Lily was on school holidays, and we were enjoying time at home, and not really doing too many interesting things.
So, for these weeks (especially weeks 16 & 17) I don't have many extra inserts - I'm still glad to have them documented, but it shows that I wasn't paying too much attention to making sure I kept things to put into my album.
WEEK FIFTEEN
Main Spread, without extra inserts
Kept up with the Wordless Wednesday posts that I started in week 14.
We did a lot of home based activities this week - going to the park, playing with the iPad, my parents came over and helped the kids plant a garden in the front yard, and we went out to lunch. This was also the week that included Easter Monday, so we had a public holiday trip to King's Park.
Main Spread, with extra inserts
The extra inserts this week include: a 6x8 photo collage of our day at King's Park, Benji's 18 month check-up wrap-up, and Take Twelve (April).

As always, I printed out my Take Twelve blog post, and put it on the back of the photo collage.
WEEK SIXTEEN
Main Spread - without extra inserts
This week fell right in the middle of school holidays, so there were a few play dates, and trips to the movies.
Main Spread - with extra inserts
There was actually only one insert this week - a poster from a meet-the-author that I went to, and on the back a scanned copy of one of Lily's drawings.

WEEK SEVENTEEN
Main Spread - without extra inserts
Back to school...finally this week, after 3 weeks of school holidays!
I just noticed that the bottom photo has come out quite dark, so here it is:
Main Spread - with extra insert
Just the one insert this week - an awesome little plane that Benji painted during craft time at the local library - it was too cute not to keep!
I will hopefully be back later on today with some of the remaining weeks to share - if the kids play nice, Lily is home "sick" today...it remains to be seen how "sick" she really is!
Project Life 2012 - Week Ten
Slowly, I am going to be posting the Project Life album layouts that I haven't shared yet.
The first one, is Week Ten of this year; 5-11th March. This week was never posted because it was when Lily had some class photos taken at her Acrodanz class, but given that I have now emailed quite a few times, and no one has ever responded to me, I doubt that I will be able to order any of the photos, so I may as well post the layout.

Main Spread, with extra inserts:
This was actually a really busy week for us - hence there being 3 extra inserts.
The Monday was a public holiday, and my sister and I had tickets to go to the Jessie J concert that night, but unfortunately she had to cancel the concert at the last minute so we didn't get to go.
I also helped my friend make her wedding invites, we went for a family trip to the Fremantle Markets (Lily wasn't with us, because she was at a sleep-over at my parents house), Lily had a birthday party, and I went on a quick little road-trip with my friend (and her friend) to buy a wedding dress (for my friend that I made the wedding invites for).
Insert 1:
The town we went to, to pick up the wedding dress was Bunbury (about 2 hours south of Perth), so while we were there, I picked up a postcard to put into my album. I wrote a little bit of journalling on the back, about the road trip.
Back of Insert 1 & Insert 2:
Our March family photo, was included as an 8x8 insert.
Back of Insert 3 & Insert 3:
We spent a beautiful afternoon at the beach, with some of my favourite photos made it onto the 8x10 collage, my favourite photo from the afternoon was the scene looking back down to the beach, which I blew up to 8x10, and then cropped to 8x8.
I LOVE this photo - not bad, for my little point-and-shoot!!
Back of Insert 3:
On the day we went to the beach, we also managed to take another family photo - I love this shadow photo, and have always wanted to take one like this, but it's actually not as easy as you would think!
One last photo to share - this has to be my second favourite photo from this week, and one of my favourites from the year!
I love having little kids that you can dress up!!
